Continious Learning vs. Overwhelming

IT people know how much important continious learning is. CL is the process of learning new skills and knowledge ongoing basis. We can call it “lifelong learning” as well. There are many ways to accomplish it such as reading books, watching training videos or going to a course. There are so many resources for it. The companies support their employees to leverage their skills by CL. Most of them have a learning portal that have many trainings to be completed by their employees. I am not going to explain how much CL important is or its benefits.

But there are 2 problems.

The first problem here is, although they claim they allocate time for their employees to research/learn , we know that there are tasks to be completed. And employers -or managers- get happier when employees do learning processes out of work hours. Finally, employees give away their significant social/resting time for CL.

The second problem is, CL can return to a trap. The technologies are infinitive. You can hear a new language, a new framework, a new tool or a new architectural design almost every month. Relative with your job or not, you may feel a pressure to have at least a high level knowledge about it.
